Alia Bhatt just took another step towards fortifying her global presence. Earlier this week, the British Academy confirmed that the Gangubai Kathiawadi actor will join the likes of globally renowned stars as a presenter at the 79th British Academy Film Awards.
Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram Stories to share BAFTA’s announcement post and wrote, “100 points if you can spot me.”
BAFTA’s announcement generated immense excitement among Alia Bhatt’s fan clubs. The actress will present an award alongside a prestigious roster of global talents like Alicia Vikander, Bryan Cranston, Cillian Murphy, Delroy Lindo, Emily Watson, Ethan Hawke, Gillian Anderson, Glenn Close, Hannah Waddingham, Monica Bellucci, Rege-Jean Page, Riz Ahmed, and Stellan Skarsgård.
Alia's inclusion among BAFTA’s presenters marks her growing influence and presence beyond Bollywood. The actress has been steadily making strides towards gaining international recognition and this achievement brings her one step closer.

India’s presence at BAFTA Awards does not just stop at Alia Bhatt. Filmmaker Lakshmipriya Devi too will attend the British Academy Awards as her Manipuri film Boong has been nominated in the Best Children’s and Family Film category. It will compete against films like Disney’s Lilo & Stitch and Zootopia 2, and the animated science fantasy film Arco.
The film, bankrolled by actor-producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, follows a Manipuri boy, played by Gugun Kipgen, who sets out to surprise his mother with a gift.
