Lucknow, 18 February. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has announced that her party will contest the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh alone. He termed all the ongoing discussions regarding the alliance as completely misleading and baseless.
The party has confidence in its stand and will fight the elections without any crutch.
Actually, the aim of former Chief Minister Mayawati is to form a government with full majority of BSP in the state like in 2007. He said that the news of BSP joining hands with any other party is just an attempt to spread confusion. Such discussions are being carried out deliberately, so that the attention of the workers can be diverted. He clearly said that the party believes in its own strength and will contest the elections without any crutch.
Appeal to workers – Get involved in election preparations with ‘elephant gait’
Mayawati while instilling enthusiasm in the cadre said that the workers do not need to be influenced by the false propaganda of the opponents. He has appealed to the party workers not to pay attention to the ‘counter news’ to the alliance and get involved in the election preparations by doing ‘elephant gait’.
The BSP chief raised the slogan that the party has to repeat the history of 2007. He asked the workers to go to the grassroots level and work with the determination to connect the people with the policies of BSP and form a government with full majority.
Type in Delhi-Clarification given on allotment of 8 bungalows
Along with this, Mayawati also took a tough stance on the discussions going on regarding the new government bungalow in Delhi. He clarified that he has been allotted a Type-8 bungalow due to security reasons and as per protocol. He clarified that there is nothing unusual in this and advised the opponents not to spread any wrong information about the bungalow.
