Ingredients to make Crispy Onion Rings

Onions 2 large (cut into round slices)
Flour-1 cup
Cornflour-2 tbsp
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Black pepper powder-½ tsp
Garlic powder -½ tsp
Salt – as per taste
Cold water or soda water – 1 cup
Bread crumbs-1 cup
oil for frying

Method

  1. To make Crispy Onion Rings, first cut the onion into round slices and separate them into rings.
  2. Mix flour, cornflour, salt, red chilli, black pepper and garlic powder in a bowl.
  3. Now slowly add cold water or soda water to it and prepare a thick, smooth batter. The batter should not be too thin, otherwise the coating will not stick properly.
  4. First wrap the onion rings lightly in dry flour. Then dip in batter. Finally coat well in bread crumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a pan on medium flame. Fry the rings until golden brown and crisp. Take out on tissue paper. You can also double fry to make it more crispy. (First fry lightly, then again on high flame for 1 minute)

Special Spicy Dip

Material

Mayonnaise-½ cup
Tomato Sauce-2 tbsp
Chili sauce-1 tsp
Mustard powder or mustard sauce-½ tsp
Honey-½ tsp
Black pepper – a pinch
a little lemon juice

Method

Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl. Keep it in the fridge for 10-15 minutes so that the flavors get mixed properly.
