The center operates under the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and plays a vital role in the country's space missions.
This internship program is exclusively for Indian students pursuing science and technology related to the Department of Space (DoS) and ISRO. Interested students can apply online by visiting the official website. The deadline for applications is March 16th, so it's important to apply on time.
Who can apply?
This internship is open to students studying at recognized institutions in India and abroad who are enrolled in a regular on-campus course or have completed their studies within six months of the application deadline. PhD students must have completed their coursework. Applicants must have at least 60 percent aggregate marks, or a 6.32 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
Special Rules for B.Tech and B.E. Students
Project work will be conducted in groups of 2 to 4 students. All students must be from the same branch, semester, and college. Individual applications will not be accepted. Final-year B.E./B.Tech students are eligible. Final-year B.Sc. (Physics/Chemistry) and final-year students with a diploma in Electronics, Mechanical, or Computer Science are also eligible.
Important Application Dates
Students can apply on different dates throughout the year. Applications for the July–September session can be made by May 15th, and for the October–December session by August 15th. Keep in mind that the deadline for each session is fixed, so it's best to apply early.
Duration of Internship
The duration will vary depending on the course. For BE/BTech students, the minimum will be 45 days, and for BSc and Diploma students, the maximum will be 90 days. For other programs, the duration can range from 21 to 45 days. The Center has clarified that this internship will only be conducted in the unclassified areas of VSSC/ISRO. No financial assistance will be provided during this period.

1. The number of selected students will depend on the available facilities.
2. In the event of a large number of applications, it is not possible to provide an opportunity to everyone.
