Chaitra Navratri 2026 Date: Chaitra Navratri begins every year on the Pratipada Tithi of the Shukla Paksha (bright fortnight) of the month of Chaitra. On this day, the worship of the nine forms of Goddess Durga begins with the installation of the Kalash. Due to the fluctuating dates, Navratri can last for 8, 9, or 10 days. According to the Druk Panchang, Chaitra Shukla Pratipada Tithi will begin on Thursday, March 19th.

This year, two auspicious times are available for Kalash installation.
The first auspicious time will be from 6:52 AM to 7:43 AM.
The second auspicious time will be from 12:05 PM to 12:53 PM.
Those who are unable to perform Ghatasthapana in the morning can also perform the puja during the afternoon auspicious time.

Auspicious Yogas Formed on Pratipada

Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga is forming on the first day of Chaitra Navratri. Along with this, there will also be a combination of Shukla Yoga and Brahma Yoga. Shukla Yoga will last from morning till 1:17 AM, after which Brahma Yoga will begin. Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga will be observed on March 20th from 4:05 AM to 6:25 AM. Kalash Sthapana will be performed during Shukla Yoga.

Rahukaal on the First Day
Rahukaal will be observed from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM on the first day of Chaitra Navratri. Auspicious activities should be avoided during this time.
