Men’s ice at the 2026 Winter Olympics hockey tournament Has reached its most exciting point. After three quarter-final matches went into overtime, the last four teams are now ready to compete for a place in the gold medal match. These include teams from Canada, Finland, America and Slovakia.

Canada vs Finland – Clash of the Champions

in the first semi-final Canada Will compete with current Olympic champion Finland. Canada made it to the quarter-finals by defeating Czechia 4-3 in overtime, but captain Sidney Crosby’s injury remains a concern for the team. Finland has also come this far after winning a tough match and is known for its strong defence.

America vs Slovakia – threat of upset

In the other semi-final, America will face Slovakia, who surprised everyone by defeating Germany 6-2 in the quarter-finals. The United States advanced to the semifinals with a 2–1 overtime win against Sweden, in which defender Quinn Hughes scored the decisive goal. Team USA is dreaming of winning its first gold since 1980, but Slovakia has caused major upsets before.
