A branch of Center Parcsis set to be bigger than ever after plans were announced for new treehouse accommodation and brand new attractions.

Center Parcs Longford Forest in Irelandwill get a €100 million makeover (approximately £87 million) adding new lodges to its site as well as a thrilling new aerial ride and a lakeside restaurant.

The park is planning to add 83 new lodges, and there are further plans to include tree houses, which are currently available at other Center Parcs sites. Its tree houses are set over two storeys, and are accessed via walkways through the trees. This accommodation option often comes with extras such as hot tubs, saunas, and even gaming dens for the kids.

At the end of last year, it announced that 80 of its brand-new lodges are now available to book for breaks between December 2026 and April 2027.This includes six-bedroom woodland lodges designed for larger groups, adapted lodges, and more dog-friendly lodges for people bringing their canine companions.

It also recently changed some of the names of its accommodation, with the Executive Lodge now called a Forest Lodge, and the Executive Plus Lodge becoming a Grand Forest Lodge.

In addition to the park’s current facilities, which include adventure golfand an Aquaparc on the lake, a brand-new aerial zipline is expected to open in autumn. Forest Glider was described as “a continuous-loop, gravity-fed ride” and will soon be added to the 400-acre site.

Longford Forest also added two new escape rooms in December 2025, The Plant Room, and Forest Laboratory, both packed with interactive and immersive activities for families to enjoy. In August 2025, Center Parcs announced it would also be adding a lakeside restaurant to its site.

Longford Forest was Center Parcs’ first site in Ireland and has had one million guests since opening back in 2019. The site is set on a huge man-made lake, popular for watersports such as canoeing and kayaking.

It also has a Subtropical Swimming Paradise, which claims to be the largest waterpark in Ireland and is heated to 29.5C all year round. Guests enjoy free, unlimited entry to this park during their stay, and don’t need to book a slot.

Last year also saw Center Parcs announce a brand new site opening near the village of Hawick, Scotland. The £350m Center Parcs could be open by the end of 2029 if plans go ahead.
