Madhumalati is mentioned in the ancient medical text Sushruta Samhita, in which many effective properties of this plant have been described. The beautiful looking flowers and leaves of this plant have been used for centuries in the treatment of cold, cough, fever, joint pain (arthritis) and skin diseases.

If someone has swelling in the kidneys or the kidney function has reduced, then the decoction of Madhumalati bark is considered beneficial. If Madhumalati decoction is taken daily as per doctor’s advice, swelling from internal organs reduces and the organs work effectively.
