Patna: Once again the harshness of statements has increased in the politics of Bihar. Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, on Monday launched an all-out attack on the Nitish government and raised serious questions on the state’s financial and law and order situation. He claimed that after 21 years of rule, Bihar has today become the most backward, poor and unemployed state in the country.
While talking to journalists, Tejashwi Yadav said that during such a long tenure, the government has given only crime, corruption, misgovernance and bureaucracy to Bihar. He said in a warning tone that the corrupt have emptied the government treasury and soon a situation may come when there will be no money left even to pay salaries to the employees.
‘Bihar has become a laggard in every field’
Without citing figures, Tejashwi Yadav claimed that whether it is the field of industry and investment or education, health and sports, Bihar has proved to be a laggard on every scale. He said that the public gave the government a long chance, but the results were disappointing.
Law and order and budget also under siege
Attacking the government over the law and order situation in the state, the opposition leader said that serious incidents like murder, kidnapping and gangrape are happening every day in the state, but no concrete action is visible anywhere. He also described the recent budget as disappointing for the general public. Tejashwi alleged that there is neither any hearing nor any action is taken in the government, due to which the bureaucracy has become dominant.
Political analysts believe that this aggressive stance of Tejashwi Yadav is part of the opposition’s strategy, under which it wants to strengthen its political ground by continuously cornering the government on issues like law and order and economic distress.
