Under the new feature, you just have to schedule the message, and whenever you want, that message will be delivered automatically at the set time.
WhatsApp is soon going to bring such a feature for its users which will completely change the way you send messages. The company is soon going to bring the scheduled message feature through which you can set a time for the message, and that message will be delivered automatically. For example, suppose you want to send a birthday wish message to someone close to you, family member, or friend, then there will be no need to stay awake the whole night. You just have to schedule that message, and whenever you want, that message will be delivered automatically at the set time. With this, the company is going to start a new era in the style of messaging. Let us know in detail how the feature will work.
WhatsApp may soon introduce a scheduled message feature for its users. According to a report by WABetaInfo , the company is working on a scheduled message feature. The update says that users will be able to type out a message and schedule it for a specific time. Users can choose the desired date and time for sending the message. When the time comes, the message will automatically reach the receiver without any user intervention.
How the feature will be useful
The scheduled message feature will be useful in many ways.
It will make sending reminders easier.
Sending greetings/announcements to a contact or group will be easier.
You won't have to worry about remembering dates for things like birthday wishes.
You can schedule messages for any date or time you want, based on your calendar.
This feature will prove very useful for business and meetings.
How the feature works:
Users will have the option to schedule a message by typing it in. This message will be queued and remain there until the scheduled time arrives. Once that time arrives, it will be automatically delivered.
Scheduled messages will appear in a dedicated section. Here, users will be able to see how many messages they have scheduled. Users will also be able to access, edit, and manage these messages. Users will be able to delete messages at any time before they are delivered. The receiver will not receive a notification. This feature will work for both individual and group chats.
It's worth noting that this feature already exists in WhatsApp on iOS, which is possible through the Shortcuts app. Users select a contact, type a message, and set a time for the Shortcuts automation. However, this isn't as easy as the built-in feature. Therefore, the company is now looking to bring it to users as a built-in feature within the app. However, the feature isn't yet available for beta testing.
