M'luru: Bomb threat email sent to private school in Bejai

A bomb threat was received via email by Lourdes School in Bijai on Wednesday night.
The email, reportedly sent around 9.30 pm from an ID under the name “Arna Ashwin Shekhar,” warned of an explosion. School authorities noticed the email on Thursday morning and alerted police.
Kadri police and the bomb disposal squad inspected the premises but found no suspicious objects. A case has been registered at Kadri Police Station.
Authorities noted that similar email threats, often using Tamil Nadu-based names, have been sent in recent months to schools, courts, offices and airports across the state and country, including Mangaluru airport and court premises.
