New Delhi: KTM India has added two new colour options for the RC 160, joining the existing Black option and are available at the same price. There is an Electronic Orange Matte that comes with a bright shade of orange, very much identified with the KTM brand, as the base colour.
This has been paired with all-black graphics and blacked-out alloy wheels. The Ceramic White Matte, on the other hand, comes with white as the base colour, along with black and orange graphics. This variant also comes with orange finished alloy wheels, making it more distinctive to look at.
In terms of mechanics, the entry-level RC is unchanged, coming with a 164.2 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 19 bhp and 15.5 Nm of torque.
The RC 160 comes with all-LED lighting, which includes the headlamp, tail-lamp and indicators, along with an LCD instrument cluster. The 160 Duke was recently given an update, where it got a TFT screen, but that hasn’t been announced as an option for the RC just yet. The RC 160 is priced at Rs 11.85 lakh, which is Rs 15,000 more than the 160 Duke and almost Rs 19,000 more expensive than the Yamaha R15 (Rs 1.66 lakh), its competition.
KTM has done a good job by bringing the Electronic Orange matte, which has been almost an iconic shade for the brand, and the bikes often own the colour pretty well.
