David and Victoria Beckham are said to be "devastated" as their family rift with son Brooklyn shows no sign of easing just days before their estranged son's 27th birthday. The former footballer and fashion designer are reportedly struggling with how to handle the milestone, with sources claiming there is now a real reluctance to even reach out after Brooklyn publicly tore into his parents in a dramatic Instagram statement earlier this year. According to insiders, the situation marks a painful departure from how the Beckhams usually celebrate birthdays as a tight-knit unit.
"It feels so different to how they usually celebrate together as a family. They love doing big family dinners with all of the kids and showering them with love, not to mention the childhood photos and tributes they share on Instagram," a source told Metro.
They added that the Beckhams aren't even sure if they should reach out to him at all: "There's even a reluctance to reach out this year, which is devastating.
"Brooklyn made his feelings clear in his statement and it feels like it's best to leave any thoughts of a reunion up to him for now."
The latest strain comes six weeks after Brooklyn finally addressed years of feud rumours, accusing his parents of prioritising "Brand Beckham" over family and making a series of explosive allegations about his 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz.
Among his claims, Brooklyn alleged Victoria "hijacked" his first dance and "inappropriately" danced on him in front of guests, leaving him "humiliated".
He also alleged Nicola, 31, had been "consistently disrespected" by his relatives and accused his family of "controlling" him and engaging in "bribery".
The eldest Beckham child went further, declaring he has no intention of repairing the relationship.
"I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life," he wrote.

"For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into."
He added that David and Victoria had been "trying endlessly to ruin [his] relationship since before [his] wedding" and claimed he had been left with "no choice" but to speak out after alleged attempts to push a misleading media narrative.
Despite speculation that tensions could cool with time, sources say David and Victoria now feel it is up to Brooklyn to make the next move.
"Brooklyn made his feelings clear," the insider added. "It feels like the best thing for now is to leave any thoughts of a reunion up to him."
Brooklyn and Nicola were last pictured with the full Beckham family at Christmas 2024. Since then, there has been no sign of reconciliation.
