Desk: A major train accident was averted in Bettiah, Bihar. Bagaha-Patliputra Intercity Express narrowly escaped an accident here. CRS of 9 kilometer doubling work in Kumar Bagh railway section was held on 18th February. After that the train started running on this railway section at a speed of 120 km.

Within just 10 days, the railway track was fractured and a major accident was averted. Due to rail track fracture near Kumar Bagh railway station, the Intercity Express remained standing for about 2 hours.

All the railway officials have arrived. Intercity Express has been crossed by making immediate repairs to the fractured real track. Movement of other trains is being done from other railway lines. Railway officials are investigating this.
