Artificial intelligence: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being counted among the biggest technological achievements of humans, but now this technology is also becoming a cause for concern. On one hand, with the help of AI chatbot, people are getting initial information about diseases sitting at home, on the other hand, this same technology, falling into wrong hands, is creating cyber crimes and big threats. Recently, a shocking case has come to light from Mexico, which has sparked a new debate regarding the misuse of AI.

What happened in Mexico?

According to media reports, hackers launched large-scale cyber attacks on Mexican government agencies. It is claimed that the attackers used Anthropic’s AI chatbot Claude to find vulnerabilities in government systems and stole about 150GB of sensitive data. According to researchers at cyber security firm Gambit Security, this hacking started in December 2025 and continued for about a month. The report said that the stolen data included information of about 19.5 crore taxpayers, voting database, credit records of government employees and documents to civil registry. Researchers say that there is no indication of any foreign government being behind this attack. However, the hackers had broken into Mexico’s tax and election departments.

Artificial intelligence: AI is becoming a new weapon for hackers

AI has now become a big tool in the world of digital crime. Reports suggest that cyber criminals have started penetrating even security walls like firewalls with the help of AI. A firewall is actually a security system that protects a private network from external threats. But through AI tools, hackers are now finding weaknesses in these security walls. Recently, Amazon researchers also warned that a small hacker group breached more than 600 firewalls in dozens of countries with the help of open AI tools.

growing anxiety

Artificial intelligence: While AI is opening new possibilities in fields like medical, education and research, its misuse is becoming a major threat to cyber security. Experts believe that now there is a need for strict regulation, strong cyber security system and responsible use of AI, so that this technology proves beneficial for humanity. No That dangerous.
