New Delhi. Patiala House Court has sent Indian Youth Congress National President Udaybhanu Chib to Tihar Jail in connection with the protest during India AI Impact Summit. Patiala House Court considered the bail plea of Udaybhanu Chib. After this, he granted bail to Chib and ordered him to send the documents for verification. After the verification of documents is completed, the court can issue the order for Chib’s release on Sunday.

During the AI Summit held at Bharat Mandapam, Indian Youth Congress National President Udaybhanu Chib performed shirtless along with Congress workers. After this protest, Chib was arrested by Delhi Police and the court sent him to police remand for four days. After the end of police custody on Saturday, Chib was produced before the duty magistrate and seven days police remand was sought. The defense side had filed a bail petition. Udaybhanu Chib’s advocate Suleman Mohammad Khan said that the police custody was valid till date. The police had to present him in the court by 5 pm on Saturday evening, but the police presented him in the court at 6 am on Saturday. The police had sought three more days of remand before the court, but the court accepted Chib’s bail plea and sent the documents for verification. After this it is expected that Udaybhanu Chib can come out of jail on Sunday.
