There's important news for candidates seeking Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) positions. The BPSC has opened the online application process for APO positions. Candidates interested in filling Assistant Prosecution Officer positions in Bihar can now apply by visiting the official website. A total of 300 candidates will be recruited under this recruitment drive. Interested and eligible candidates can apply until March 20, 2026.

Recruitment for several Positions
A total of 300 candidates will be selected through this recruitment process, including 129 reserved positions for the unreserved category, 29 for the economically weaker section, 42 for the Scheduled Castes, 7 for the Scheduled Tribes, 64 for the extremely backward classes, 25 for the backward classes, and 4 for women from the backward classes.

Who Can Register?
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree to apply.

Candidates' age will be calculated as of August 1, 2026. The minimum age for applying is 21 years, and the maximum age is 37 years.

Additionally, age relaxation will be provided to candidates from special categories.

How will the selection be conducted?
Candidates will be selected based on a preliminary examination, a main examination, and an interview. The preliminary examination will consist of two papers. Paper 1 will carry questions worth 100 marks, while Paper 2 will carry questions worth 150 marks. Candidates who qualify in this examination will be called for the main examination.
