He said that India’s strength is its young population. A large number of youth are studying, bringing new ideas and working on new technology. Dharmendra Pradhan was speaking at the Study in India Edu-Diplomatic Conclave 2026 held in New Delhi. Here he addressed diplomats from more than 50 countries. It was told here that the government wants the world’s big universities to open their campuses in India. Rules have been made for this so that the process is completed clearly and on time.
It is noteworthy that if foreign institutions come to India, then Indian students will get opportunities to study at international level without going outside. This big education conference was held at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, New Delhi. Ambassadors, High Commissioners and representatives of different countries participated in it. On this occasion, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan spoke openly about India’s education system and its future.
The Education Minister called upon foreign higher education institutions to collaborate with India’s rapidly growing, innovation-based education system. The objective of this program was to tell the world that India is now becoming a big educational center and not just a place to study. India wants not only foreign institutions but also students from other countries to come here, study, do research and move forward together.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that after the introduction of the new education policy 2020, the style of education in the country has changed. Now students do not need to be limited to just one subject. Students can study different subjects simultaneously. At the same time, emphasis is also being laid on the skills of the youth, that is, the education should be such that it will be directly useful in the future. Education provides not only a degree but also the ability to work.
According to the Education Ministry, the UGC has created a transparent and time-bound regulatory framework that will help foreign universities set up campuses in India. Applications from major institutions in Australia, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States have been approved within a month.
Many important issues were discussed in the conference, including spreading the Indian knowledge tradition to the world and using Artificial Intelligence and new technology in the field of education. Apart from this, rules for foreign universities, linking skill education to international level, and India Innovation 2026 initiative were also discussed here.
Dharmendra Pradhan said that no matter how much uncertainty there is in the world, education always works to connect countries. Study, research and exchange of knowledge is what creates a real partnership.
He asked the representatives of all the countries to connect their students and institutions with India. According to academics, the message of this event was that India now wants to become a strong contender on the global education platform. India is telling the world to come, study here, do research, bring new ideas and move forward together.
