According to mythology, arrogance and unrighteousness came to an end due to the unwavering devotion and faith of devotee Prahlad. Holika Dahan inspires us that no matter how adverse the circumstances are, truth and religion always triumph.
He said that just as fire burns evil to ashes, similarly this holy festival gives the message of eliminating negativity, malice, jealousy and all obstacles in our lives. Holika fire also provides us an opportunity for introspection, so that we can identify the evils within us, abandon them and adopt positivity.
The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to celebrate this festival with love, harmony and mutual brotherhood. He said that Rajasthan is a state full of diversity, where different traditions and cultures come together and celebrate festivals. This festival of Holika Dahan further strengthens the feeling of social unity and collective celebration.
