Gorakhpur: Big action by Belipar police station, the accused of theft was caught within 24 hours.

gorakhpur. The crime control campaign being run on the strict instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police, Gorakhpur District, Dr. Kaustubh, has once again made its mark. Belipar police station has got a big success within just 24 hours. A vicious accused who broke into the house and committed theft was arrested. Apart from Rs 1500 stolen cash, an illegal weapon was also recovered from the possession of the accused. This action has strengthened the sense of security in the area and local residents have praised the police.

What is the whole matter?

On the night of 1 February 2026, unknown thieves entered a house in Belipar police station area. Taking advantage of the owner’s absence, the thieves searched the house and stole Rs 1,500 in cash. The victim immediately reached the police station and lodged a complaint. Case number 57/26 was registered under section 331(4) and 305 BNS at Police Station Belipar. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, under the guidance of Superintendent of Police South and supervision of Area Officer Bansgaon, Police Station Head Vishal Kumar Singh prepared a quick action plan. The team used CCTV footage, local sources and technical intelligence. The accused was traced within just 24 hours.

Police arrested Madan Paswan, son of Ramdhari Paswan, resident of village Jarlahi, police station Bansgaon, district Gorakhpur. Stolen goods and weapons were recovered directly from the accused. During interrogation, the accused admitted his involvement.

Rs 1500 cash and one illegal weapon were recovered from the possession of the accused. On the basis of the recovery, additional sections 317 (2) BNS and 3/25 Arms Act have been added to the case. The police is now also investigating the source of this weapon.

Madan Paswan’s criminal record is not clean even before. Case number 57/26 (331(4), 305, 317(2) BNS and 3/25 Arms Act) and case number 0179/2024 (section 323, 504, 506 IPC) are already registered against him in Belipar police station. Police believe that the accused has been involved in many small and big incidents.
