Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while congratulating the people of the state on Holi, claimed peace, security and strong law and order in UP. Also announced development of Gorakhpur Heritage Corridor and rehabilitation of traders. Appealed for harmony and discipline on Holi.

Gorakhpur. CM Yogi Adityanath wished a happy Holi to all the people of the state. He said that today there is neither tension, nor fear nor anarchy in Uttar Pradesh. Law and order is strong in the state and every citizen is feeling safe. People have a feeling of respect for each other. This situation realizes the concept of Ramrajya. He said that PM Modi also says that when there is an atmosphere of peace, security and trust in the country, then no one can stop India from becoming a developed nation.

Holika bonfire in Pandeyhata and address at devotee Prahlad procession

The Chief Minister participated in the devotee Prahlad procession organized by the Holikadhaan Utsav Committee organized in Pandeyhata. He said that today there is an atmosphere of chaos and violence in many parts of the world, but India is fortunate to have strong leadership. The new India gives opportunities to every class and creates an atmosphere of celebration.

Period of curfew and riots in UP before 2014

CM Yogi said that before 2014, there was an atmosphere of fear regarding festivals in the country and the state. It was common to impose curfew before festivals in Uttar Pradesh. Accusing the governments of that time of dividing the society, he said that businessmen and the general public had to suffer the consequences of this.

He said that hooliganism and anarchy were at their peak then. Neither the daughters nor the businessmen were safe. Today Uttar Pradesh has become 'Utsav Pradesh', where there is no riot, no curfew and there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm everywhere. Giving an example, he said that Holi programs are going on peacefully in Mathura and Vrindavan for the last fifteen days and even foreign tourists are surprised to see it.

Gorakhpur Heritage Corridor: Development will change the picture

The Chief Minister said that the heritage corridor of Gorakhpur will become the most beautiful corridor of the state. Earlier there were narrow streets, jams and chaos, which affected business. Now it is being widened and organized. He said that the traders whose shops have been affected are being given shops in Bandhu Singh Park located at Ghantaghar. A new complex will be built near DIET for the remaining traders. For this, land has been identified and budget has also been released. The government's aim is that no one should suffer loss, but everyone should get new opportunities.

Double engine government to speed up development

CM Yogi said that the double engine government is accelerating development by providing security and facilities in the state. Development progresses from bottom to top and the development of Gorakhpur will contribute to the development of the entire state and country. After the construction of the heritage corridor, the roads here will be three times wider than before and with facade lighting, it will become an attractive center of the state.

Message of Holika Dahan: Victory of religion over anarchy.

Mentioning the importance of Holika Dahan, the Chief Minister narrated the story of devotees Prahlad and Hiranyakashyap. He said that just as Lord Narasimha had ended unrighteousness, in the same way it is necessary to end anarchy and mafia in the society. He said that hooliganism and mafia elements are a threat to the society and strict action is necessary against them.

CM Yogi participated in Holi and Aarti of flowers

After the address, the Chief Minister performed the aarti of the picture of devotee Prahlad on the chariot decorated in the procession and showered flowers. He encouraged people by playing Holi with flowers. Folk artistes gave cultural performances and were felicitated on stage.

Ravi Kishan said that the Chief Minister has paved the way for development by eliminating corruption from the state. He said that recent foreign visits have yielded huge investment proposals, which will strengthen the economy of Uttar Pradesh.

CM Yogi's appeal on Holi: Do not color forcibly, avoid obscene songs

The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state not to do anything on Holi that could lead to conflict. Do not forcibly apply color on anyone or play obscene songs. He said that Holi is a festival of harmony and social unity. Ego, evil and negative thinking should be burnt on this day.
