Mumbai/Kolkata: The group stage and Super-8 matches of the 10th T20 World Cup are over and now the picture of the semi-finals is completely clear. Two semi-final matches will be played on Wednesday and Thursday. 20 teams took part in the tournament, out of which 16 have been eliminated. Now apart from former champions India and England, the teams of former runner-up South Africa and New Zealand will play in the semi-finals. South Africa and New Zealand will face each other in the first semi-final to be held at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on March 4. At the same time, on March 5, India will face the challenge of England at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After a two-day break, the final match will be played on March 8 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Reserve day for both semi-finals and final
The good thing is that at present there is no possibility of rain in the cities where the semi-finals and finals are to be held. Nevertheless, if there is any interruption in the match due to rain, then a reserve day has been kept for it. If the match is not completed on the scheduled day, play will resume from where it left off on the next day.
Only South Africa is invincible in the tournament
So far in this World Cup, South Africa is the only team which has not lost any match. The team has won all its 4 matches in the group stage and also all three matches in the Super-8. At the same time, the Indian team had won 4 matches in the group stage, but had to face defeat from South Africa in the Super-8.
