New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official YouTube channel has crossed 30 million subscribers, making it the most-followed channel among world leaders on the platform. The milestone highlights the scale of his digital outreach and growing global audience. Officials said the achievement reflects sustained engagement across speeches, policy updates, and international events.

The recent figure places Modi far ahead of the other influential global leaders. His audience of subscribers is significantly less than that of other political leaders, which highlights the supremacy of his online presence. The growth is only a few weeks after he surpassed 100 million Instagram followers, becoming the first globally followed leader.

Global lead over other world leaders

The YouTube channel of Modi is ranked number one among heads of state and government with more than 30 million subscribers. Brazilian President and former President Jair Bolsonaro, in the second position, possesses almost a quarter of that number of subscribers.

The prime minister’s channel also has over seven times more subscribers than US President Donald Trump. Authorities referred to this as an indication of how global Modi has made his messages and content.

Strong digital edge in India

In India, Modi is also leading by as much as possible. He has close to three times the number of subscribers on YouTube as compared to the leader of the Congress, Rahul Gandhi. It is also greater than fourfold the subscribers of the Aam Aadmi Party and the Indian National Congress by themselves.

The executives have observed that growth of the channel has been steady due to frequent uploads and multilingual posts which attract diverse viewers.

In the previous month, Modi became the first world leader and politician to reach 100 million followers on Instagram. His account has been one of the most active and interesting among world leaders in politics since his entry into the platform in 2014.

The two YouTube and Instagram records assert the current status of the most digitally followed world leader, which is Modi.
