New Delhi. Bihar Minister Shravan Kumar on Tuesday supported Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar and said that JDU has cleared the way for him to enter active politics. The path to Nishant’s entry has been finalized and he believes that after Nishant joins the party, senior leaders will gather to discuss the further strategy. He said that the party has decided to allow him to participate in active politics.

Minister Shravan Kumar said that the progressive people of Bihar want Nishant Kumar to come and take charge. The stage is set for the rise of another son in the political environment of Bihar. Because Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant is going to join Janata Dal United on Holi. Meanwhile, another minister of Bihar, Ashok Chaudhary said that Nishant should join active politics. Chaudhary described him as an educated engineer who reflects Nitish Kumar’s body language, decency and simplicity. Choudhary stressed that this step has been taken by party workers and it is not Nitish Kumar’s decision. Ashok Chaudhary said that he should be in active politics. He is an educated engineer and is a true photocopy of Nitish’s body language, decency and simplicity. All this is happening at the behest of party workers. This is not Nitish’s decision. Party workers were demanding this for a long time. So this would be a great Holi gift. There are speculations about the political entry of Nishant Kumar after the big victory of National Democratic Alliance in Bihar in the 2025 assembly elections. In December 2025, JDU’s Working President Sanjay Jha had said in the presence of Nishant Kumar that the party members and supporters want him to work for the party. He said that the timing of his entry is Nishant’s decision.
