In a recent conversation with Esquire India, Ahaan confessed that he remains stunned by the incident. He admitted that witnessing such a powerful and unexpected audience response is something he is still trying to process.
Speaking about the now-viral clip, Ahaan Panday clarified that the man seen in the theatre was genuinely undergoing treatment. “You know what, that was actually a person who had dialysis, Mohit sir found out later because we were curious about how all of this was happening,” he said. After the video gained traction online, several netizens speculated that it might have been a calculated promotional move by the makers, as many found the situation difficult to believe.

Reflecting on the overwhelming emotional response to Saiyaara, he shared his thoughts on why the story resonated so strongly. “I feel people reacted to it this way because for so many years we had such a set way of thinking about how things had to be done. It became so rigid. Maybe people just wanted something with artists not trying to be perfect, and this film allowed that. Romance is not perfect. Love is never perfect.”
About SaiyaaraMade on a budget of ₹45 crore, Saiyaara ended its run close to ₹600 crore, making it one of the biggest unexpected blockbusters of 2025.
