The announcement marks the debut of Apple’s latest in-house connectivity silicon, including the C1X cellular modem and N1 wireless chip, across both the smartphone and tablet lines.

The iPhone 17e enters the Indian market with a starting price of ₹64,900 for the 256GB base model. For users requiring more local storage, the 512GB variant is priced at ₹84,900. Apple is incentivizing the launch with trade-in offers ranging from ₹3,100 to ₹62,700, alongside No Cost EMI options starting at approximately ₹11,327 per month. The new smartphone is powered by the A19 chip, the same high-performance processor found in the standard iPhone 17. It features a 6.1-inch display with more durable front glass and a single 48-megapixel Fusion camera system. A key technical upgrade is the inclusion of the C1X cellular modem, providing faster data speeds and better efficiency than the previous generation. The device is available in three distinct finishes: Black, White, and Soft Pink. Notably, it lacks the Pro-level high refresh rate and Dynamic Island interface, maintaining a traditional notch for its TrueDepth camera.

The updated iPad Air maintains its competitive pricing despite the significant processor upgrade. In India, the 11-inch model starts at ₹64,900, while the 13-inch model is priced from ₹84,900. Like the iPhone 17e, the iPad Air will be available as pre-orders scheduled to go live in India at 7:45 PM IST on March 4 and arrive in stores on March 11.

The headline feature of the new iPad Air is the M4 chip, which delivers a 30% performance increase over the previous M3 model. This silicon features an 8-core CPU, 9-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine optimized for on-device AI. Unified memory has been increased by 50%, moving from 8GB to 12GB to improve multitasking capabilities. Connectivity is also modernized with the N1 wireless chip, enabling Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread support. While the internal hardware is new, the exterior remains identical to last year, featuring a 60Hz LCD display and a 128GB starting storage capacity. It is offered in four colors: Blue, Purple, Starlight, and Space Gray.
