Players were compelled to abandon the court at the Fujairah Open in the United Arab Emirates due to the escalating conflict. The UAE is among the nations currently under attack by Iran, following US-Israeli airstrikes on the Middle Eastern country over the weekend.
The strikes, authorised by Donald Trump, resulted in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and plunged the region into warfare. Airbases in Abu Dhabi, the UAE's capital, bore the brunt of Iranian retaliatory strikes, whilst tourist favourites in nearby Dubai also came under fire.
The assaults have persisted into this week, with an ATP Challenger Tour match between Daniil Ostapenkov and Matsuoka Hayato interrupted by a nearby incident. Players were seen hastily exiting the court amid scenes of panic after an alarm was triggered at the Tennis Country Club Fujairah.

It emerged that the alarm was set off when a drone was intercepted near the Port of Fujairah, with falling debris igniting a fire in an oil industry area.
In response to the incident, the Fujairah Media Office stated: "Relevant authorities in the Emirate of Fujairah responded to a fire that broke out this morning in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ), resulting from falling debris following the successful interception of a drone by air defence systems.
"No injuries were reported, the fire was brought under control, and normal operations in the area have resumed."

This follows Saturday's conclusion of the Dubai Tennis Championships, and whilst the tournament itself escaped direct disruption from strikes, several players who competed at the ATP 500 event have found themselves embroiled in the turmoil.
Among them are men's singles champion Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev, who remain stranded in the UAE following the grounding of outbound flights.
Indian Wells is due to kick off this week, with the participation of Medvedev, Rublev and numerous other tennis stars now hanging in the balance.
According to reports from Marca, the Russian pair are plotting a road trip to Oman, as it's understood to be amongst the Middle Eastern countries facing the lowest risk.
From there, it's suggested they'll charter a private aircraft to either Turkey or Armenia, before making their way across to California for Indian Wells.
However, with their first-round fixtures looming, the clock is very much ticking for the marooned players.
