Team India in T20 World Cup semi-finals for the sixth time, how has been the knockout journey of ‘Men in Blue’?

The Indian cricket team has once again proved its strength on the ICC stage and made it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup (ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026). By defeating West Indies in the last match of the Super-8 stage, India not only secured the knockout ticket but also maintained its dominance in the tournament. In this 10th edition of the World Cup, Team India has so far registered 6 wins in 7 matches and lost only one match.

India will face England cricket team in the semi-finals on March 5. This will be the third time when India and England will face each other in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup.

2007: Historic win over Australia

In the first edition of the T20 World Cup (2007), India defeated Australia in the semi-finals. In that match, the aggressive batting of Yuvraj Singh (70) and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (36) took India to a strong score.
