Authorities in Nurpur district have escalated their efforts to combat illegal mining, successfully confiscating two dumpers, a JCB machine, and a tractor within the last day.
This enforcement action was executed in accordance with the Mining and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act. At Tanda Khad, located under the jurisdiction of Police Station Indora, a JCB and a tractor were seized, while two dumpers were taken into custody on Handwad Road in the Riali area, overseen by Police Post Re. All four vehicles are now in police custody.
Officials from the district police have reiterated their commitment to continue the crackdown on illegal mining operations and have issued a warning that strict legal measures will be enforced against offenders. They have also encouraged the community to report any suspicious mining activities to assist in safeguarding natural resources.
