There was a time when dancing in Indian cinema used to be fun. Ram Charan and Jr. NTR’s RRR even won an Oscar for “Naatu Naatu,” and its dance. Now, the actor is starring with Janhvi Kapoor in his new movie, Peddi.

The second song of the movie was just released and for the fans, it simply is too similar to what they've already seen.

The new song for Peddi, “Rai Rai Raa Raa,”is supposed to be a dance heavy number. The song is composed by AR Rahman and in the music video, Ram Charan is dancing his heart out.

While he has clearly put effort in the dance, fans simply don't think so.

People are saying that the need to go viral has changed what genuine choreography used to be. Now, it doesn't feel like dancing or performances and more like the desperate need to go viral on social media. Hook steps have become more common rather than the overall art that dance actually is.

Ram Charan has gone above and beyond for his role, putting in a lot more physical effort. The movie will be released in theatres on April 30, 2026.
