Liverpool suffered a humiliating and damaging stoppage-time defeat away at bottom-of-the-league Wolves on Tuesday night. The Reds went behind with 12 minutes to play but had been pushing for a winner after Mohamed Salah cancelled out Rodrigo Gomes' opener with seven minutes of normal time to go. Yet, having already lost four games after the 90th minute in the Premier League this season, they conceded a deflected 94th-minute winner to Andre to lose 2-1 at Molineux.
The Reds were chasing a fourth straight top-flight win and had the chance to match Manchester United and Aston Villa on 51 points. Yet they served up a one-paced and uninspiring attacking performance until they found themselves 1-0 down. It is only Wolves' third win in 30 league games this season, but their second in a row after beating Aston Villa last week. The reigning champions, meanwhile, suffer another massive setback in a frustrating top-flight campaign. Express Sport rates and slates Arne Slot's side...
Liverpool player ratings vs WolvesAlisson - 5
Didn't face a single shot until Gomes scored. Handled Yerson Mosquera's late shot well after that but produced a terrible clearance moments before Wolves bagged the winner. Was helpless to stop the deflected shot looping over him.
Jeremie Frimpong - 6
First league start since January 24. Drilled one first-half shot well over but otherwise not really able to trouble the Wolves backline. One threatening cross was well claimed by Jose Sa.
Ibrahima Konate - 5
Defensively sound until the end when he too easily allowed Gomes to score. Saw too much of the ball from a Liverpool perspective, given they needed to attack more, but at least successfully completed most of his passes.
Virgil van Dijk - 5
Superb early pass to Mo Salah and tidied up really nicely whenever Wolves threatened to break Liverpool's line. But then easily nudged out of the way by Tolu Arokodare for the Wolves goal and should have headed in a late header from Ngumoha's cross.
Milos Kerkez - 6
Kept busy first 10 by Matheus Mane but then rarely troubled. Offered a passing option out wide but his deliveries needed to be better. Misjudged a dropping ball when he should've scored a tap-in from two yards out after Jones' miss.
Ryan Gravenberch - 5
Committed too many fouls and not good enough on the ball. Booked and, understandably, hooked at half-time.

Alexis Mac Allister - 6
Better from the Argentine, winning the ball several times high up the pitch and getting into dangerous positions in attack. Was perhaps too weak at times though.
Dominik Szoboszlai - 5
Tried one shot from a mile away but otherwise not that noticeable first half. Dropped deeper second half after Gravenberch went off and played several key passes but certainly not his best performance this season. Made one key recovery to thwart a Wolves counter-attack but caught on the ball before the winner.
Mohamed Salah - 4
Says it all that he scored his first Premier League goal since November and still gets such a bad rating. Barely did anything right. Made one excellent first-half run which Virgil van Dijk picked out but his touch let him down. Lost the ball too many times with loose touches and passes and produced some terrible corners. Took his goal well but immediately afterwards squandered an easy pass to Dominik Szoboszlai who could have made it 2-1 to Liverpool.
Hugo Ekitike - 5
One exciting run first half aside, was anonymous before the break and touched the ball less than Alisson. Second half, should have got an assist from his flick-on at a corner then produced another great run where he beat Mosquera but saw his cross thwarted by Ladislav Krejci. Was hauled down by Santiago Bueno when he threatened another run late on.
Cody Gakpo - 4
Offered too little despite taking four shots, none of which tested the goalkeeper. Only one was on target and was straight at Jose Sa. Looked eager to make something happen but end product just wasn't good enough. Marked down for blocking Jones from scoring.
Curtis Jones (Gravenberch 46) - 6
Somehow failed to score from underneath the crossbar at a corner after Gakpo's intervention. Improved Liverpool's pace of play at least.
Rio Ngumoha (Gakpo 65) - 7
Brought on to inject some directness to the Liverpool attack. Denied a goal by a fantastic Sa save and an assist when Van Dijk headed straight at the keeper.
Andy Robertson (Kerkez 65) - 6
Did OK.
Joe Gomez (Frimpong 72) - 6
Solid and very unlucky Andre's shot deflected over Alisson for the Wolves winner.
Federico Chiesa (Konate 79) - N/A
One shot straight at the keeper.
