Pink Saheli Smart Card: To make travel easier and safer for women in Delhi, the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is digitalizing and streamlining bus services. To this end, the DTC is introducing Pink, Blue, and Orange smart cards for bus travel, with their official launch scheduled for March 2nd. The launch was originally scheduled for February 19th, but was postponed due to the India AI Impact Summit 2026. Let's explore what the Pink Saheli card is, who can apply, and how.

What is the Pink Saheli Smart Card?
The Delhi government has introduced the Pink Saheli Smart Card to provide free and unlimited bus travel to women and transgender individuals. This is a digital smart card that serves as the cardholder's identity (ID). It contains the person's name, photo, QR code, and other basic details, allowing for easy and ticketless bus travel.

What is the eligibility for the Pink Saheli Smart Card?
Certain eligibility criteria have been established for the Pink Saheli Smart Card. The woman or transgender person must be a resident of Delhi, be over 12 years of age, and possess a valid ID proof, such as an Aadhaar card or voter ID. Additionally, providing proof of residential address in Delhi is also mandatory. With these documents, the Pink Saheli Smart Card can be easily obtained.

How to Apply for the Pink Saheli Smart Card?
You can apply for the Pink Saheli Smart Card both online and offline.

Offline applications require women and transgender travelers to visit designated counters with their Delhi Aadhaar card. To ensure easy access to card applications across the city, special counters will be set up at the District Magistrate (DM) office, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) office, bus depots, and Common Service Centers (CSCs). These counters will be set up at approximately 50 locations, including SDM offices, bus depots, bus stands, and select banks.
