ICC T20 Rankings: The T20 rankings have been announced by the International Cricket Council today i.e. on March 4. In which Indian players have created a stir. Especially wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson has got the reward for playing an inning of 97 runs against West Indies. Ishan Kishan and Tilak Verma have also benefited, while despite struggling with poor form, Abhishek Sharma is at number-1, although he is going to be in danger from Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan, who is the highest run scorer in the T20 World Cup 2026. Condition of Indian batsmen in ICC T20 rankings

Sanju Samson has gained 25 places in the ICC rankings released by ICC, now he has reached 40th position with 549 rating points. In the do or die match against West Indies, he scored 97 runs in 50 balls with the help of 12 fours and 4 sixes. This is the biggest innings played by any Indian player in a run chase. The first name in this list was of Virat Kohli, he had scored 82 runs against Pakistan.

Along with Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan and Tilak Verma have also moved up by 1 place to 4th and 6th position respectively. Ishaan is the highest run-scorer for Team India so far in the T20 World Cup 2026. Whereas Tilak scored 44 runs in 16 balls against Zimbabwe. Then played a valuable inning of 27 runs against West Indies.

Talking about the top-10 players in the ICC T20 rankings, Abhishek Sharma is at the top with 874 points. So far in the T20 World Cup 2026, he has not played any impressive innings except his 55-run innings against Zimbabwe. His account was not opened in the first 3 innings, he scored only 10 runs against West Indies.

Due to this performance, Sahibzada Farhan of Pakistan has come close to snatching the number-1 throne from him. He has scored 2 centuries in the tournament and is at second position with 848 rating points. He is followed by Phil Salt of England with 803 points. Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka (5), South Africa’s Dewald Brewis (8), England’s Jos Buttler (9) and New Zealand’s Tim Seifert (10) are in the top-10.
