ATP tennis stars have been caught up in the Middle East travel chaos amid the ongoing conflict, which has affected players looking to leave Dubai. World No.11 Daniil Medvedev is one of those players having won the ATP 500 event there on Saturday after Tallon Griekspoor withdrew through injury.
Medvedev's participation in the year's first ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells is uncertain. Reports have emerged that players opted against alternative travel arrangements from the United Arab Emirates to America.
And the draw has been made for the tournament in California with top seed Carlos Alcaraz being in the same half of the draw as Novak Djokovic, throwing up the prospect of the duo who contested the Australian Open final in January meeting in the semi-finals.
