Political commentator Link Lauren has insisted Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet must be completely removed from the line of succession as it will make it easier to eliminate Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from his eighth position in the line up. Speaking on Spot On With Link Lauren he explained the only efficient way to remove Andrew would be to have a complete reshuffle of the Royal Family.

"The people I want to see removed from the line of succession are Harry, Megan, Archie and Lilibeth," he said, ignoring the fact that Meghan technically isn't in the running for the throne. "[And] if we're going to shrink the monarchy, let's do Eugenie. Let's do Beatrice. Fergie. If you guys want to cut Andrew, cut Andrew. But if we're going to shrink the monarchy, It needs to apply to everyone," Lauren acknowledged that removing Andrew would very much be a "gesture" as he is unlikely to ever return as a working royal, but he explained there are complications with the process.

Paraphrasing Royal expert Phil Dampier he explained: "Removing Andrew from the line of succession would take an agreement from all 14 countries of which the king is head of state. And so that could be difficult," Lauren speculated.

"I don't know exactly every single country that makes up the Commonwealth, but if we're going to cut Andrew...say...we're shrinking the monarchy... You just want to have the bare essentials, just the senior working Royals, which to me is Charles William, George, Charlotte, Louis, Catherine [and] Camilla.

"...You can't just cut Andrew from the line of succession because he's in trouble right now. You can't just cut Andrew because he spent 12 hours in jail. You can't just cut Andrew because of alleged crimes from years ago.

"If you're going to shrink the monarchy, let's go in and actually shrink the monarchy. And maybe the way to get it done is you send a list [to] the [14] countries and say, 'Hey, we're just shrinking the monarchy in general, kind of doing restructuring. Here's who we want to cut, here's who we're going to have as a senior Royals'," he opined.

In a further dig at Harry and Meghan, he said: "They might say...it's a lot of paperwork, a lot of jumping through hoops to cut one member [Andrew].

"If it's Megan, Harry, the kids in California who've never been to the UK, that makes sense to me, because we have to have standards.

"Lilibeth she's a princess - I use the word Princess loosely. She's in line for the throne [and] she's never even stepped foot in the United Kingdom.

"I don't think Archie even knows that he's royalty. Should these kids be in line for the throne? If we're going to shrink it, let's shrink it, but let's not just do one member here, one member there. Let's go and restructure. And I think doing that one fell swoop is actually the best way to go."
