So far, X Money has secured money transmitter licenses in more than 40 US states and partnered with major payment company Visa. William Shatner Shares X Money Beta Features

Actor William Shatner recently shared updates about the beta rollout, highlighting features designed to attract early users. According to his posts, the service will offer a 6% annual percentage yield (APY), a $25 welcome gift, and the ability to connect a bank account, as per a Finviz report. He also encouraged users to enable two-factor authentication.

Screenshots shared by Shatner show that X Money will include a debit card with cash back rewards. The company also plans to launch a personalized metal debit card featuring a user’s official X handle, along with zero foreign transaction fees, as per the Finviz report.

The app is positioned as a standalone messaging service, similar to Messenger from Meta Platforms Inc., and has been described by Musk as an alternative to WhatsApp.
