Ghaziabad. A big racket of making passports through fake documents has been exposed in UP. Ghaziabad Police’s Crime Branch has arrested 10 people of this fake passport racket and sent them to jail. Two of these arrested people were searching for people willing to get passports made using fake documents. According to Ghaziabad Police, this racket used to make people apply at the Passport Seva Kendra located in the post office of Bhojpur instead of the Passport Seva Kendra. The reason was that the documents of the applicants were checked at four places in the Passport Seva Kendra. Whereas, in the post office only one employee used to investigate.

The racket involved in obtaining passports using fake documents used to get the fake documents verified from a postman named Arun. According to Ghaziabad Police, the kingpin of this racket is Mushtaq Ahmed, a resident of Johri Park in Jamianagar area of ​​Delhi. The name of his associate involved in the racket is Mudasir Khan. He is a native of Batmaloo in Jammu and Kashmir and lived in Daryaganj in Delhi. According to the police, Mushtaq, who runs the passport racket, works as a property dealer in Delhi. Ghaziabad Police claims that he used to charge Rs 1 to 1.5 lakh from each person for making passports using fake documents. At the same time, Mudasir used to get Rs 25,000 for every passport applicant he brought.

During interrogation, Mudasir Khan told Ghaziabad police that he used to work as a taxi driver in Delhi. The racket used to apply for passport by obtaining SIM from fake documents and creating an e-mail ID from it. Police have recovered 22 passports made from fake documents. Of these, applications for 13 were made from the same mobile number. The members of the racket used to get fake Aadhaar cards, bank passbooks, birth certificates and driving licenses made and then get passports through them.
