A shooting occurred on Thursday in St. Augustine, specifically on John’s Island Parkway close to Chestnut Oak Road in St. Johns County. Law enforcement officials from St. Johns County quickly responded to the scene after receiving reports of the incident.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, the first victim succumbed to injuries at the scene due to a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The second victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the chest, was conscious and was subsequently airlifted to a medical facility. The third individual, with a gunshot wound to the leg, was transported to the hospital via ground ambulance.
Deputies secured the area and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including the potential involvement of a suspect. Residents in the vicinity reported hearing the sound of emergency sirens as multiple units responded to the scene. The identities of the victims have not yet been disclosed.
