Chinese actress Dilraba Dilmurat was unable to attend the Dior fashion show in Paris after being stuck in Dubai due to airspace closure amid the escalating Middle East tensions.

She was stranded at an airport in Dubai for more than 24 hours while transiting through the Middle East on Wednesday, Qianjiang Evening News said.

Her agency said she is “safe and well” and that “she and her team are together and looking after one another,” according to Drama Panda magazine.

Her management company said both Dilraba’s team and the fashion house had attempted to change visas and rearrange flights but failed, Singaporean news outlet 8days reported.

“Dilraba cherishes every opportunity to interact with you, whether in person or from afar. This sudden situation caught us off guard, and we are sorry to have disappointed you,” Dilraba’s team said in a statement on Weibo.

Mathilde Favier, Dior’s international PR director, confirmed Dilraba’s absence from Paris Fashion Week due to “force majeure circumstances.”

As a global brand ambassador for Dior, her appearances at its fashion shows have drawn significant media attention in recent years, making her one of the most visible Chinese celebrities at the fashion week.

The 34-year-old actress was born in Xinjiang Province and rose to prominence through dramas such as “Eternal Love” and “The Long Ballad.” She is a frequent choice for advertising campaigns and serves as ambassador for several luxury brands.

On Feb. 28, the U.S. and Israel launched airstrikes on Iran targeting intelligence and defense agencies and several senior officials. Iran later retaliated with missile and drone attacks on Israel and US military bases in the region.
