Good news for young people preparing for government jobs. Konkan Railway Corporation Limited has issued a notification for recruitment to 190 trainee apprentice positions. Interested candidates with engineering, diploma, and general graduation degrees can fill out the online form until March 20th, 2026. Candidates are advised not to wait for the deadline and to apply early.
This recruitment process includes positions in civil, electrical, electronics, and mechanical trades for engineering degree holders. Candidates with diplomas in relevant subjects can also apply. Thirty positions are also reserved for graduates from the general stream. This means this recruitment brings opportunities for both technical and non-technical youth.
Candidates must have a graduation, BE, BTech, or a diploma in the relevant field. Candidates without a recognized degree will not be eligible to apply.
The age limit is 18 to 25 years. SC and ST candidates will receive a 5-year age relaxation. OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates will receive a 3-year relaxation.
There will be no written examination for this recruitment. Selection will be made solely from a merit list based on academic scores. After being selected, candidates will be called for document verification. Final selection will be made only if all certificates are found to be correct. Selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹4,000 to ₹4,500 per month. This amount will be determined by the position.
The application fee is ₹100 for the general category. Applications are free for SC, ST, women, minority, and EWS candidates.
