On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Patna for a meeting with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. This visit comes shortly after Kumar announced his intention to transition to the Rajya Sabha following a remarkable 20-year tenure as the state's chief executive. Upon Shah's arrival, he was welcomed by Nitin Nabin, the BJP president, who is also involved in the Rajya Sabha nomination process.
Kumar's decision to file his nomination for the Rajya Sabha has opened the door for a new chief minister in Bihar, leaving many supporters and workers of the Janata Dal (United) in disbelief.
