New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 12 Psychology exam 2026 today from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. As per the students who attempted the exam, the Class 12 Psychology paper was easy to moderate in difficulty.
The CBSE Class 12 Psychology paper included questions on variations in psychological attributes, psychological disorders, therapeutic approaches and self and personality.
The three-mark and four-mark questions in Sections C and D required students to think more deeply and understand the concepts clearly. Some questions tested higher-order thinking skills, asking students to analyse psychological ideas and apply them to slightly more complex situations. While these questions were not very difficult for well-prepared students they needed careful reading, proper understanding and well-thought-out answers.
CBSE Class 12 psychology paper analysis
The CBSE Class 12 psychology paper was designed as per the pattern and sample papers. The paper was designed to assess the understanding of psychological concepts, theories and the practical applications. The paper followed the prescribed CBSE blueprint and weightage. Overall, the paper had a balanced distribution across different sections.
The paper was of average difficulty and closely aligned with the CBSE sample papers and the prescribed syllabus. For well-prepared students, it ensured familiarity and clarity.
CBSE Class 12 psychology paper student review
As per the students, the overall difficulty of the CBSE Class 12 psychology papers was easy to moderate. The questions were well-structured, manageable and focused on both theoretical knowledge and practical application. The paper included recall, application and higher-order thinking questions.
For the Class 12 psychology exam, students were required to report to their respective exam centres by 9:30 AM. A 15-minute reading time period was allotted from 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM. Entry to the exam hall was not permitted after 10 AM.
The Class 12 Psychology exam was held for a total of 100 marks which included 70-marks for theory and a 30-mark for the practical or project component.
