Easter is just under a month away, and if you're thinking about what chocolatey delights will be worth the money this year, the best on the market have been unveiled. The team at Good Housekeeping has revealed its definitive list of the best Easter eggs available at supermarkets and popular brands.

There are some familiar classics in the list, as well as some new and innovative flavour combinations, as well as some stellar designs. To make sure you know what to expect, they tested all of the components, which included rich chocolate truffles and hidden surprises. While the team has listed the best in different categories, there's one Easter egg which received the highest score overall, beating out the big name brands of Hotel Chocolat and Lindt.

The highest scoring Easter egg of 2026 is a £10 pick from Sainsbury's, specifically the Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Extra Large the Mint One Belgian Dark Chocolate 230g. It scored a massive 89 out of 100.

Good Housekeeping wrote: "This dark chocolate supermarket egg was our highest-scoring product overall for Easter 2026. The classic combination won testers over with its mint-choc-chip aroma and polished presentation. Bright, vibrant mint complements the rich, complex dark chocolate, while crunchy pieces add a satisfying texture."

The best milk chocolate Easter egg on the market went to the Lindt Gold Bunny Milk Chocolate Easter Egg 250g (£156), the white chocolate egg was announced as Cocoa Loco Lemon Drizzle Egg 225g, and Waitrose's viral No.1 Almond Croissant 275g was named the best blonde Easter egg.

Good Housekeeping also named Exceptional by ASDA Free From Raspberry & Dark Belgian Chocolate Easter Egg 200g (£9.97) and Waitrose Choc Full Easter Egg 215g (£8.50) as the best free from and children's Easter eggs, respectively.
