'I worked for royals - Meghan will have one reaction to Andrew's house of horrors offer'

Reporter Rob Shuter, who used to represent Princess Michael of Kent, has discussed rumblings of King Charles III's alleged plan to give Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's Royal Lodge to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Rob, who appeared on The Nerve with Maureen Callahan earlier this week, claimed the King could offer the Royal Lodge after his disgraced younger brother Andrew was forced to leave and relocate to Wood Farm, located on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

Andrew, who was arrested last month on suspicion of misconduct in public office in connection with his ties to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and later released under investigation, has denied any wrongdoing. Host Maureen told Rob: "I read this, and I don't believe this, but you are reporting it, so I have to give it some credence. Charles may offer the disgraced former Prince Andrew's former castle?"

Rob replied: "It is an absolute mansion. They call it a lodge. It's not, it's 30 rooms. Andrew was there for decades rent-free. He's now been kicked out, and the home is empty, so they are now looking for what to do next with the home."

He added: "If they leave it empty, that's the story of the house where Andrew lived. Giving that house to Harry and Meghan changes what that house is; it is no longer Andrew's house.

"It is Meghan and Harry's house, and tourists will take pictures of it, forgetting the disgraced Andrew, because whatever you think of Harry and Meghan, they certainly make a lot of noise."

The expert said this move would "change this perception of the house of horrors", claiming: "Let's be clear, stuff went on in that house that they don't want to talk about. They want to turn the page."

In response, the host said she could easily see Meghan turning the offer around and saying, "You're going to give us a house of horrors to live in, what does that say about us?"

Rob agreed and continued nodding as she shared her thoughts on the Duchess of Sussex's potential reaction to the alleged offer.

Following their eviction from Frogmore Cottage three years ago, Harry and Meghan typically stay with friends or in hotels during they stays in the UK.

Buckingham Palace has not confirmed any plans, and it is unclear whether the Sussexes would accept such an offer.
