Crufts 2026 RECAP: Working and Pastoral dog breeds go head-to-head for group winner title

The annual Crufts 2026 is officially underway at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, UK and will hold all its events over the next few days, from March 5 to March 8. Dog breeds from the working and pastoral groups will take their places in the Main Arena later today, with the winners being crowned best in group.
Also taking place on Day 1 will be obedience competitions, UK Heelwork to Music finals, Dog Grooming Championships, and agility sessions. Just before 4pm, the ever-popular West Midlands Police Dog Display Team will perform at the bp pulse LIVE Arena, showcasing the extraordinary skill and dedication of working dogs and their handlers.
