Indian Air Force Su-30MKI Fighter Jet Crashes in Assam During Training

On Thursday, a Su-30MKI fighter jet belonging to the Indian Air Force crashed in the Karbi Anglong district of Assam. Rescue operations are currently in progress.
The aircraft was engaged in a training exercise when it went down approximately 60 kilometers from Jorhat, its departure point.
The exact reason for the crash remains unknown at this time.
According to the Air Force, the jet lost communication with the ground control at 7:42 PM.
The Indian Air Force operates a significant fleet of Su-30MKI jets, with the first units being introduced in 2002.
