Millions of farmers across India are eagerly waiting for the 22nd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme. Under this flagship welfare program, the central government provides financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year to eligible farmers. The amount is transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

The annual amount is distributed in three installments of ₹2,000 each, usually released every four months. So far, the government has already credited 21 installments to farmers’ accounts since the scheme was launched.

When Will the PM Kisan 22nd Installment Be Released?

Details About the Previous Installment

The 21st installment of the PM-Kisan scheme was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 19, during an event in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

During that installment:

• More than 9 crore farmers received financial assistance.

• Around ₹18,000 crore was transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts.

Since the launch of the scheme, the government has transferred over ₹4 lakh crore to farmers across the country.

What Is the PM Kisan Scheme?

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme is a central government initiative designed to support small and marginal farmers by providing direct income support.

Under the scheme:

• Eligible farmers receive ₹2,000 every four months.

How to Check PM Kisan Beneficiary Status

Farmers can easily check their payment status online by following these steps:

1. Visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in.

2. Click on the “Know Your Status” option.

3. Enter your registration number and captcha code.

4. Click on “Get Data” to view the details.

The portal will display whether the installment has been credited or is still pending.

How to Apply for PM Kisan Scheme

Farmers who have not yet registered for the scheme can apply online through the official portal.

Steps to apply:

1. Visit pmkisan.gov.in.

2. Click on “New Farmer Registration.”

3. Enter your Aadhaar number and required personal details.

4. Submit the form to complete the registration process.
