Princess Catherine revealed exactly what she thought of her husband, Prince William, last week on their most recent joint engagement together. The Prince and Princess of Wales stepped out together in Powys, Wales, on February 26 to take part in various engagements.

One of these was to join a local Welsh learners group at the Gallery Café during their away day, where the Princess of Wales joked about what was going to happen next. She asked whether the pair would be tested on their Welsh-speaking abilities.

A woman sat next to Prince William then praised the future King, who has spoken Welsh in several social media addresses.

The woman said William is "really, really good" at Welsh, with Princess Catherine quick to agree and praise her husband as reported by People magazine.

She said: "Yes. I know. He's very smart."

It is believed both William and Catherine learn Welsh as best as they can, especially since becoming the Prince and Princess of Wales in 2022.

The couple also try and visit Wales frequently, with their latest trip to the country last week being just before the Welsh national holiday of St. David's Day on March 1.

As well as visiting Wales last week, the couple also released a video message on their social media channels in which they spoke Welsh.

William's words, translated by Kensington Palace into English, said: "To everyone in Wales, a very Happy St David's Day!"

Catherine added: "Wales is very close to our hearts, and we look forward to every visit."

William then said: "It is a beautiful country, with a rich history and wonderful people."
