Theo Burrell made an emotional admission ahead of her wedding. The BBC Antiques Roadshow expert, 39, opened up about her health in a candid interview. The TV expert was diagnosed with a grade four brain tumour in June 2022 at the age of 35.

She has since issued an urgent plea following her diagnosis as the mum-of-one says more money and awareness of brain tumours is required after it took six months to get a diagnosis. Theo had only received her diagnosis of an incurable grade four glioblastoma after she went to A&E "feeling like her head was going to explode".

The BBC star revealed she will soon tie the knot with her partner having just completed another round of radiotherapy before making an emotional admission.

Speaking to The Scotsman, she said, "I will be having more treatment, but the treatment options are definitely running out and it is just plastering over the cracks of what is now quite a fast-growing variant of the original tumour."

The TV expert said she is optimistic she will be well enough to "get through the next three weeks".

"I'm getting married in three weeks - the wedding has been difficult to plan because it's trying to work around guessing how I'm going to be," Theo remarked.

In a heartbreaking plea, she added, "It's not the life I would have chosen and not something I would wish on anybody else."

Theo's comments come during Brain Tumour Awareness month.
