Airlines issue advisory, plan additional flights amid volatile situation in West Asia

Airlines have issued travel advisories and planned additional flights to assist passengers amid the volatile situation in parts of West Asia.In a statement, IndiGo said it understands that many customers are still trying to reach their destinations and reunite with their families.

The airline said that over the past few days, its flights have helped many passengers reconnect with their loved ones, though some journeys remain incomplete.To support affected travellers, IndiGo said it will operate flights to five destinations in the Middle East on today (March 7), subject to prevailing safety conditions and regulatory approvals.

The airline said its teams are working continuously to help passengers complete their journeys while keeping the safety and wellbeing of customers and crew as the top priority.

Meanwhile, Air India said it, along with Air India Express, continues to operate scheduled flights to and from Jeddah and Muscat after assessing them to be safe for operations.

Air India also announced additional non-scheduled flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Muscat, Ras Al-Khaimah and Sharjah on today(March 7) to bring stranded passengers back to India.

The airline said its services to Europe and North America are operating normally through alternative safe routings.Airlines said they are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to take decisions keeping passenger safety in mind.
